Licensed as the 171-bed skilled nursing and long-term care facility of Methodist Hospital of Sacramento, Bruceville Terrace offers care for the elderly, as well as those requiring extended recoveries. Bruceville Terrace provides skilled nursing, rehabilitative, and complex medical services to our patients and residents using an interdisciplinary team approach. Over half of the facility is dedicated to skilled nursing / convalescent care, while the remaining beds are committed to meet the medical and rehabilitative needs of the short-term patient after a stay at the acute care hospital. Job Summary and Responsibilities

- Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards, and interventions specific to the assigned unit.
- Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.
- Communicates clearly and effectively using proper communication etiquette. Uses medical terminology accurately. Includes reporting abnormals or change in patient condition to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
- When within the scope of practice to correct quality concerns do so immediately and report to the nursing management team. If not within scope of practice report quality concern immediately to the management team for assistance or direction.
- Adheres to the policies, procedures and standards in the delivery of the planned resident's care in the preparation and administration of medications and treatments as ordered by the Physician daily.
- Demonstrates clinical ability to identify changes and / or abnormal signs and symptoms of the aged, acutely or chronically ill and initiates prompt follow-up with Physician, resident and / or responsible party and with appropriate documentation with 95-98% accuracy and timeliness daily in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act.
Job Requirements
Minimum :
Current California RN licenseMinimum one (1) year of experience in SNF / LTC care of the aged, acutely ill, chronically ill and patients in need of restorative careKnowledge in the principles of nursing care within the RN, LVN and CNA scope of practiceWorking knowledge of Title 22, OBRA regulations and Joint Commission requirementsDemonstrated ability to communicate proficiently both orally and in writing in the English languageCurrent BLS Certification through the American Heart AssociationPreferred :
SNF / LTC, 1-year supervision of nursing personnel
