Medical Assistant

Cedar Recovery, LLC is an ASAM Level I outpatient treatment facility that employs an array of evidenced-based treatment modalities to provide an integrated model of care of medical, counseling, and therapeutic interventions to treat every patient’s individual needs and promote long-term sustainable recovery from substance use disorder. While Cedar Recovery provides care for all substance use disorders, it has a primary focus on treating opioid use disorder with medications such as Buprenorphine and / or Naltrexone (MAT).

The purpose of this position is to serve as a Medical Assistant for Cedar Recovery. The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following :

• Assists Medical Professionals with clinical prep including notation of lab results, patient UDS schedule, and e-prescribing
• Maintains patient care by pulling CSMDs, charting audits, scheduling patient follow-up appointments, and handling prescription issues
• Proficient computer manageability for scheduling, changing, and canceling appointments and required documentation
• Acts as support for the Office Coordinator and Patient Care Coordinator

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Effective Knowledge The ability to navigate and effectively use Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and EMR system

The ability to collaborate and work with colleagues to achieve the Cedar Recovery mission of solving the opioid epidemic and repairing our communities by providing addiction treatment services that work. Communication Successfully communicate with employees at all levels of the organization on a regular basis – including via face to face, email and other technologies utilized by Cedar Recovery.
