As a software engineer on the Liberty Mutual Customer Experience team, you'll bring your expertise to an agile environment that blends the creativity and energy of a start-up with the stability and resources of a Fortune 100 company.

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborative partner : Work closely with product owners, and fellow engineers to address technical challenges and maintain high-quality standards within the Liberty Mutual customer experiences.
  • Comprehensive problem-solver : Own the end-to-end development lifecycle of customer onboarding experience, analyzing system-level issues and implementing effective solutions to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Skilled technical engineer : Lead and document the implementation of technical features, improvements, and innovations that advances the Liberty Mutual customer experience.
  • Forward thinker : Go beyond fixing issues by proactively identifying opportunities to enhance performance, quality, and efficiency across the customer experience platforms.

Qualifications :

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience, including Agile methodologies and technologies such as JavaScript, NodeJS, Angular, React, NextJS, Typescript, HTML, CSS, GraphQL, GitHub / Github Actions.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS) and architectural patterns (serverless, microservices, event-driven).
  • Solid programming discipline covering unit testing, fault tolerance, data structures, complexity analysis, and design patterns.
  • Experience with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
  • Experience leveraging generative AI (genAI) in software engineering is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.
  • Proficient in negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building.
  • Adaptability and openness to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, technical standards, and security / privacy policies.
  • Thorough understanding of Agile development processes, including backlog management, burndown metrics, and incremental delivery.
  • Strong collaboration skills, a team-first mindset, prioritization abilities, and adaptability.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Highly competitive applicants will have :

  • Experience applying generative AI technologies in software development.
