Responsibilities :
- Collaborative partner : Work closely with product owners, and fellow engineers to address technical challenges and maintain high-quality standards within the Liberty Mutual customer experiences.
- Comprehensive problem-solver : Own the end-to-end development lifecycle of customer onboarding experience, analyzing system-level issues and implementing effective solutions to ensure reliability and performance.
- Skilled technical engineer : Lead and document the implementation of technical features, improvements, and innovations that advances the Liberty Mutual customer experience.
- Forward thinker : Go beyond fixing issues by proactively identifying opportunities to enhance performance, quality, and efficiency across the customer experience platforms.
Qualifications :
3+ years of software engineering experience, including Agile methodologies and technologies such as JavaScript, NodeJS, Angular, React, NextJS, Typescript, HTML, CSS, GraphQL, GitHub / Github Actions.Strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS) and architectural patterns (serverless, microservices, event-driven).Solid programming discipline covering unit testing, fault tolerance, data structures, complexity analysis, and design patterns.Experience with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.Experience leveraging generative AI (genAI) in software engineering is a plus.Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.Proficient in negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building.Adaptability and openness to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.In-depth knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, technical standards, and security / privacy policies.Thorough understanding of Agile development processes, including backlog management, burndown metrics, and incremental delivery.Strong collaboration skills, a team-first mindset, prioritization abilities, and adaptability.Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.Highly competitive applicants will have :
