About the Role :

Aquila Technology is seeking a Software Developer

to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. The Software Developer will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop simulation tools to address a broad range of technical problems of interest to the DoD. The candidate will assist with the development of software through its full life-cycle including architecture and design, code development, testing, maintenance and upgrades.

Must Have

  • Degree Level : Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years - Linux and Windows development, debugging, and executing software
  • 5 years - Programming
  • 5 years - C / C++ Programming
  • 5 years - Object Oriented Software Design and Development
  • 5 years - Software
  • 5 years - Boost Library

Nice to Have

  • Programming
  • MATLAB

    • Required :

  • C++ programming experience
  • Experience with boost libraries
  • Experience with multithreading
  • Strong knowledge of object oriented design principles
  • Knowledge of Linux and Linux based development
  • Ability to work as a team member or independently

    • Preferred :

    Familiarity with Qt, MATLAB

    Work location : Hybrid - Individual works from home or off-site for a portion of their schedule and within a routinely commutable distance from the Lexington facility. The candidate should expect to be onsite 2-3 days a week on average.

  • By Your Own Device (BYOD) Allowance Reimbursed up to $1500 for the purchase of a qualified technology device. Eligible after 90 days of employment, and benefit renews every three years.

    Interview Process : Initial phone screen with hiring manager. If a candidate advances to the next round, interview with a greater technical / hiring team.
