SUMMARY :

Thehospiceaideisaparaprofessionalmemberoftheinterdisciplinarygroupwhoworksunderthe supervisionof a registerednurseandperformsvariousservicesforapatientasnecessarytomeetthe patient’spersonalneedsandtopromotecomfort.Thehospiceaideisresponsibleforobservingthe patient, reportingthese observations,anddocumentingobservationsandcareperformed. Thehospice aide willbeassignedinamannerthatpromotesquality,continuity,andsafetyofapatient’scare.

JOBREQUIREMENTS&QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Maintainanactivehospiceaidecertificationwithstateperforming jobduties.
  • Atleast1-3yearsofexperiencein hospice,orpalliativecareand / or training inend-of-lifecare,preferred.
  • Knowledge in hospicecareandtheservices providedto patients andfamily / caregiver throughaninterdisciplinarygroup.
  • ProficientinMSOfficeapplicationsand abilitytolearndepartmentandjob-specificsoftwaresystems.Demonstrateorganizationalskills.
  • Demonstrate effectiveverbalandwrittencommunicationskills.
  • Demonstrateanalyticalskillswhenproblem-solving.
  • Demonstratehighattentiontodetailandahighdegreeofaccuracy.
