JOB SUMMARY :

The Environmental Engineer II will utilize their knowledge to participate in collecting, synthesizing, and documenting data relating to environmental compliance tasks. Task focus areas are related, but not limited, to stormwater, wastewater, air quality / emissions, oil storage and / or waste regulations, and assisting in the preparation and / or review of permits, pollution prevention plans, and regulatory-driven reporting. This position also includes providing field support as needed, which may include field site supervision. In addition, the Environmental Engineer will utilize their knowledge and experience with environmental site investigations and cleanups to support field efforts and document preparation and / or review.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Conduct and oversee site inspections, assessments, investigations, and cleanups in accordance with state and federal regulatory guidelines and as directed by project management staff.
• Work with environmental technicians and other technical staff in data collection, site inspection / investigation, and evaluation of data collected in support of environmental project objectives.
• Provide scientific and technical guidance, support, coordination, and oversight to project staff preparing written project documentation.
• Review and document the processes necessary to obtain, develop and / or update environmental permits, plans, reports, licenses, and other requirements necessary to achieve environmental compliance and restoration project objectives.
• Review and provide documentation of environmental technical standards, guidelines, policies, and formal regulations to ensure proposals meet all appropriate requirements.
• Prepare charts or graphs from data samples, providing summary information on the environmental relevance of the data.
• Determine data collection methods to be employed in site surveys and investigations.
• Actively participate in creating a positive team environment
• Support project planning and RFP responses
• Solve challenges for Clients
• Manage company resources to ensure proper deliverables
• Supports junior Environmental Engineering staff
• Actively participate in a proactive safety culture
• Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Brice Engineering has a fast-paced multi-tasking office environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. At times, work is performed outside of the office at indoor and outdoor job sites. Adaptability regarding schedule and design changes, and occasional overtime for immediate field support or bid processing may be necessary.
