We're seeking a passionate and licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide high-quality therapy services to students in grades K-8 or high school, depending on assignment. This is a rewarding opportunity to support communication development in a collaborative school environment.
Location : Within New York City School District
Start Date : ASAP
Contract Length : 9+ months with direct placement option
Pay Range : $55-60 per hour
Hours : 30+ hours per week, during standard school week (no weekends)
What You'll Do
Deliver individualized speech and language therapy to students in assigned grade levels.
Conduct evaluations and develop tailored therapy plans to address communication challenges.
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure holistic support.
Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
Support development of speech clarity, language comprehension, and social communication.
Implement strategies to enhance receptive and expressive language skills.
Educate families and school personnel on effective communication techniques.
Assist students with cognitive communication skills such as memory, problem-solving, and executive functioning.
Provide recommendations for continued therapy or additional support services.
What We're Looking For
Current, up-to-date resume
Active New York State Speech-Language Pathology license.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
TSSLD Certification (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities) is required (pending certification is acceptable).
Must pass drug screening, background check, and fingerprinting.
Commitment to a full academic year (9+ months).
