We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team in Glendale, Wisconsin, on a Contract to permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing IT systems, ensuring seamless network operations, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience and a proactive approach to managing system health and resolving technical challenges.

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor server and workstation performance, including disk space, memory usage, system logs, backups, and security measures.
  • Configure, install, and troubleshoot hardware and software components, including drivers, peripherals, and user customizations.
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, routing errors, and name resolution problems.
  • Administer user accounts, mailboxes, group policies, printers, and network security tasks.
  • Support the help desk by resolving escalated technical issues and providing guidance to team members.
  • Collaborate with higher-level engineers to set up, analyze, and repair server infrastructure devices.
  • Ensure optimal functioning of critical IT systems to prevent service interruptions.
  • Transport and handle IT equipment as needed for installations and repairs.
  • Integrate mission-critical devices into client networks effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in systems administration roles.
  • Strong proficiency in managing servers, networks, and troubleshooting protocols.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Windows Server, Windows 10, and Dell or Citrix technologies.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or VMware are preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and transport IT equipment when required.
