A recognized marketing services agency in New York City is currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team as an Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Accounting team
  • Manage the monthly financial close process
  • Review and approve journal entries
  • Assist with finance statements report preparation, with flux analysis
  • Oversee balance sheet accounts reconciliation and accuracy in the general ledger and financial statements
  • Maintain the general ledger system
  • Provide support on annual audits
  • Prepare summary financial statements variances analysis
  • Maintain the Internal Controls compliance and documentation
  • Manage the payroll reconciliation

Qualifications :

  • 3+ years of Accounting experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Solid working knowledge of GAAP Accounting
  • Hands-on experience in Accounting in a large corporation with multiple subsidiaries
  • Microsoft Excel proficient (Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, etc.)
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized

    • Desired Skills :

  • 3+ years of experience in a Management role
  • CPA or parts passed
  • Background in Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite and OpenAir
  • Costing Accounting background
  • Previous experience in the Advertising and / or Marketing industry
