Operator - Queens, NY
This position is a floater role supporting our Queens Terminal. As an Operator, you'll be joining a well-established team at a growing company, helping transload residential waste containers from trucks to railcars for our customer. This is an entry-level position with opportunities to learn and grow.
Pay Rate : $23.00 per hour
Schedule : Full-time, 56 shifts per week, always off Sundays. Shifts : The typical shift is 2 PM-10 PM, but shifts can start as early as 11 AM. Schedule may vary based on operational needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Read and understand all standard operating procedures as well as safety requirements for the roleParticipate in safety briefings, job briefings, and any other pass on information from team members, management or customerSafely operate shuttle wagon to hook up railcars and pull them into the yardUtilize restacker to remove containers from train and place on building floor for Waste Management to remove container lids. Move empty container in place so Waste Management can load container. Once loaded, move container back onto the trainSafely operate shuttle wagon to move loaded railcars back out to the storage yardMechanical experience preferred to accurately perform preventative maintenance of shuttle wagons, restackers and other equipment as neededUse attention to detail when completing all applicable documentation, recordkeeping and track sheetsActively participate in all required training for your roleOther duties as assignedSkills, Abilities, & Requirements

Required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment including, but not limited to uniform, steel toed boots, eye protection, hard hat, gloves, vest, radio, etc.Operate a loader for snow removal, impact guns, air tools, man lift to work in load out, be able to operate a vehicle, raise and lower loading arms, wire cutters to cut zip ties, power tools, wrenches.Physical Demands
Must be able to bend, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds alone, twist, climb, etc. Must be able to talk and hear well enough to communicate with all Team Members, vendors, and customers 100% of the time.
