Job Description :

ARCXIS is seeking a talented and driven Windstorm Designer to join our team. As a Windstorm Designer at ARCXIS, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of residential construction projects. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of engineers, architects, and construction professionals to uphold our commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

With offices in Houston and Dallas, TX, on-site work opportunities are encouraged, however, we will consider remote work arrangements for this role and ideal candidate.

Key Responsibilities :

Structural Analysis and Design :

  • Conduct high-wind Analysis and Design of residential structures to meet Department of Insurance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and timelines.

Requirements :

Education, Experience and Desired Qualifications :

  • Degreed Engineer with a specialization in Structural Engineering preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in structural engineering and design, with focus in residential windstorm design.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dedication to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
