American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU float pool position with night shifts and multi-facility float requirements.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Clinical Support Unit (ICU float pool) across multiple acute care hospital settingsCovers ICU units at Boise, Meridian, and Nampa facilities, floating only within critical care specialtyTypical nurse-to-patient ratio in ICU is 1 : 1-2Requires use of EpicCare Inpatient EMRNight shift schedule (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM), weekends as neededFloat to other units within specialty or serve as 1 : 1 sitter in any area as needed, including mid-shift floatingAssignments and hospitals are provided via app one hour prior to shift, all facilities within a 20-minute driveOrientation includes a meet-and-greet plus three inpatient orientation shiftsICU float pool RNs may cover assignments in any critical care unit at three facilities and never float to lower acuity unitsCharge nurse present on all units; robust leadership team provides support 24 / 7Nursing assistants and patient care techs provide additional support, with variable ratios depending on unit and dayNo on-call requirements; blocking scheduling and special requests are not acceptedProfessional appearance required; no specific scrub color mandatedHoliday coverage may be required as neededMust be away from any previous permanent position at these facilities for at least one year before travel assignment\n \n Requirements\n
Active Idaho or compact RN license in hand at time of considerationMinimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experiencePrevious travel nursing experience requiredCurrent ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications requiredAbility to titrate drips as needed for ICU settingsExperience with Epic EMR preferredDriver's license required for considerationMust provide two references : one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 yearsMust reside outside a 50-mile radius from assigned hospitals\n Benefits\n
