We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Vice President of IT to join Nellson.

POSITION SUMMARY :

A VP of IT (Vice President of Information Technology) is a senior executive responsible for leading and managing an organization's information technology strategies and operations. This role involves setting the strategic direction for IT investments, overseeing infrastructure, managing IT teams, and ensuring alignment with business goals. They also play a key role in budgeting, vendor relationships, and risk management.

This position reports directly to Chief Financial Officer .

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Direct Reports - 4 Department size; 15 Exempt employees
• Developing and implementing IT strategies that align with overall business objectives.
• Overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.
• Managing and mentoring IT staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Developing and managing the IT budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Identifying and mitigating IT-related risks, including cybersecurity threats and data breaches.
• Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and identifying opportunities to leverage them to improve business operations and gain a competitive advantage.
• Ensuring IT systems and processes comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Communicating IT strategies and initiatives to senior management and other stakeholders.
