Estimator

Our client in Glenshaw is seeking an Estimator to join the team

Duties :

Work with other estimators / sales to complete all estimating tasks as stated below :

• Search for new projects on various project platforms (PBX Dodge Construction etc.).
• Attend project pre-bid meetings.
• Travel to building sites for walk-throughs as required.
• Prepare estimating job folders for new projects by downloading and printing drawings and specifications.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs to determine the amount of materials needed for each project phase.
• Identify and calculate labor material and time requirements for project costs.
• Collaborate with distribution and manufacturing partners to determine pricing.
• Prepare submit and follow up on proposals and scope of work documents.
• Support the outside sales team throughout the sales process.
• Update and maintain project information in the CRM program.
• Optimize costs by identifying savings opportunities without compromising project quality or integrity.
• Schedule meetings with clients site managers and staff.
• Continuously enhance technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
• Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as needed.
• Assess potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project costs and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare project submittal shop drawings.
