Position Summary
The Production Supervisor - Fabrication is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the fabrication function to ensure the production of high-quality custom cabinetry and wood products. This individual leads the team in managing day-to-day machining and fabrication operations to meet production schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in CNC machining, proven supervisory experience, and a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
Essential Duties
Production & Operations Management
- Oversee the setup, programming, and operation of CNC machinery to ensure the production of precise and accurate parts.
- Develop and maintain fabrication standards across hardwood, CNC and build departments, ensuring processes are clearly defined, trained, and consistently followed.
- Monitor workflow, manage departmental performance, and ensure production goals for safety, quality, productivity, and cost are met.
- Ensure availability of materials and supplies for all fabrication departments.
- Manage wood and raw material inventories to meet production schedules and minimize waste.
- Maintain equipment by ensuring proper preventive maintenance and coordinating repairs to minimize downtime.
- Ensure the fabrication area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements.
- Troubleshoot machinery and production issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, product quality, and overall workflow effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other managers to align fabrication processes with upstream and downstream operations.
Employee Management & Development
Train, coach, and develop team members; provide cross-training to build a flexible and capable workforce.Address employee relations matters, administer company policies, and ensure consistent and fair application of expectations.Participate in hiring, onboarding, and skill assessment for new team members.Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement corrective action when necessary.Coordinate scheduling and vacation planning based on production needs.Leadership & Culture

2-5 years of supervisory experience in fabrication, woodworking, CNC machining, or similar manufacturing environments.Strong working knowledge of woodworking techniques, fabrication tools, CNC machinery, and equipment maintenance.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production specifications.Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, communication, delegation, and employee development.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with experience troubleshooting production and equipment issues.Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong documentation / record-keeping skills.Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to maintain consistent quality standards.Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Reliable, hardworking, and a collaborative team player.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
