Communications Specialist

ASU’s Center for Accelerating Operational Efficiency (CAOE) seeks an energetic, motivated Communications Specialist to drive the Center’s outreach, marketing, and communications efforts. The CAOE is a U.S. Department of Homeland Security Center of Excellence led by ASU that conducts impactful research and innovative educational programming around security challenges.

The Communications Specialist will work directly with colleagues in ASU, at partner universities around the nation, and with representatives from the Department of Homeland Security to communicate programming successes and outcomes to the public and targeted audiences. This position will oversee all Center branding aspects, work closely with the center director to develop the communications strategy and annual goals and execute communications campaigns around upcoming events and programming. Efforts may range from communicating how the Center’s research is impacting security-line wait times at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport to how teams of students designed a new approach to securing public spaces from malicious drone operators.
