The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to join the Secure Computing Solutions team located in Pleasanton, CA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. The selected candidate will be required to work 100% onsite in Pleasanton with a travel requirement of approximately 10%.

As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers developing security solutions (Software Tools, BSPs, Firmware, etc.) around our custom SoC's and embedded systems for defense, commercial and aerospace applications. The ideal candidate will excel in both the engineering technical acumen / excellence required for this role while also being an engaging and motivating people leader.

• Manages the software engineering team responsible for development through production of leading-edge, secure board level and avionics box level software solutions
• Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets goals

• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

• Ensure that software estimating and Earned Value Management (EVM) best practices are utilized which include any programmatic planning and baselining activities as well as assessing proposals for accuracy and executability and proper identification and quantification of related risks.
• Collaborate with and contribute to the success of software efforts across the division as well as more broadly into BDS and Enterprise software engagement.
• Accountable to the BDS Air Dominance Software Leader as their assigned manager as well as secondarily to the Applied Solutions Integrated Product Team Leader.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Senior Manager Level (Level L) : $199,750 - $270,250
