Visual Journalist Opportunity At The Gainesville Sun
The Gainesville Sun is looking for a world-class, full-time visual journalist who is skilled in video, photography, and social media to join our digital-first team. This visual journalist will capture the people, moments, events, environment, and sense of place that define our unique community. Key areas of emphasis are the University of Florida and Gator sports and high school sports in Alachua and Marion counties.
This photojournalist must understand the powerful role that visual storytelling plays in reaching new audiences and be committed to high-quality journalism at every level. Our visual journalists must be able to move seamlessly between college sports, high school sports, daily local news, and enterprise work. The successful candidate must have the ability to collaborate with reporters and editors to produce compelling storytelling about the people and places of North Central Florida. We are committed to building audiences in underserved communities and expect our visual journalists to cultivate contacts and create content that reflects these communities.
