The Role

As Product Counsel for Cash App handling credit lending and credit reporting issues youll have a broad range of responsibilities providing legal guidance on lending and credit issues including credit reporting agency issues. Our Primary Product offerings that you would be involved with include : Lending products (such as our buy now pay letter products) Afterpay and credit risk rating / credit rating agency work. As we expand your ideas and contributions will make an immediate and meaningful impact.

You Will

• Provide guidance to product risk design eng customer support and other teams on lending credit and credit reporting agency issues and help build new lending and credit related products.
• Provide actionable legal advice concerning consumer lending laws and consumer lending products Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA) Dodd Frank Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and Equal Credit Opportunity Act.
• Develop trusted relationships with partners and stay informed on key product developments.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements affecting your products and services
• Draft terms of use product policies and product disclosures
• Work closely with cross-functional partners (tax compliance accounting and outside counsel) to provide seamless support.
• Cultivate creative ideas and insights into how legal frameworks can support new product developments and customer experiences.
