Our co-op programs are designed to provide paid work experience and valuable hands-on experience in your field. Co-op assignments are typically 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday for 8 months.
Spring (January 2026 - September 2026) & Fall Co-op (May 2026 - January 2027)
Manufacturing Engineering : The Cedar Rapids site is a new greenfield expansion to support SZG’s increasing demand and capacity expansion. This position will work cross functionally to support the start-up of our new Cedar Rapids, IA facility in either Fabrication or Assembly engineering. You will be responsible for incorporating various Industrial and Mechanical Engineering principles in a manufacturing environment, perform analysis of procedures and design fixtures while working to increase productivity and efficiency through the plant to ensure safety and quality. You will work closely with various engineering groups to develop facility layouts through CAD, develop procedures for new equipment & oversee installation of new equipment.
As part of the hiring process, this position will require a pre-employment drug test.
