Description : Summary

Rock City Gardens is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Part-Time Tour Guide to deliver memorable and educational experiences to guests by sharing the history, legends, and attractions of Rock City Gardens. Tour Guides play a vital role in ensuring that guests enjoy their visit and leave with a deeper appreciation for this iconic destination. Under the direction of the Guest Relations Manager the Tour Guide is responsible for performing the following duties :

Responsibilities

• Delivers excellent guest service to internal and external customers in line with the organization’s mission, culture, and values.
• Models appropriate guest and partner interaction at all times.
• Provides guided tours for groups of various sizes, including schools, corporate outings, and general visitors, ensuring information is accurate, engaging, and tailored to the audience.
• Learns, memorizes, and delivers detailed tour scripts.
• Greet guests warmly, answer questions and assist with wayfinding or special requests during the tour experience.
• Presents facts about Rock City Gardens' history, geology, and attractions, including Lookout Mountain, the Fairyland Caverns, and the Seven States View.
• Uses storytelling and interactive elements to enhance guest engagement and create memorable experiences.
• Monitors tour groups to ensure safety during their visit, particularly on trails, bridges, and high-traffic areas.
• Assists with special events, programs, or other guest activities as needed.
• Uphold the mission of “Creating Memories Worth Repeating” and exemplify company values : Innovation, Communication, Learning, Appreciation, Accountability, and Proactivity.
• Provides information, directions, and recommendations for other area attractions as needed.
