SIC Electrician Foreman

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks Electricians for projects based out of our Austin, TX branch. Hired candidates will be considered for benefits / paid time off after 3 months.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable with blueprints, sketches and building plans pertaining to type of material
• Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
• Prepares layout, using voltage tester, wire strippers, level, pipe benders etc...
• Terminates panels utilizing LOTO
• Plans sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers
• Runs cable tray, pulls wire and bends various types of conduit
• Understands motor controls and metering
• Sizes branch circuit overcurrent protection devices
• Calculates loads for single phase and three-phase branch circuits
• Rates information using standards, which can be measured or checked
• Reviews and compares differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects
• Follows directions, plans, and blueprints
• Performs work overhead, beneath structure, and from various other positions as required by working conditions
• Makes decisions based on measurable criteria
• Visualizes objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings
• Lifts and carries objects of varying weights
• Detects, recognizes and responds to dangerous conditions or situations
• Regular attendance is required
• Significant travel may be required
• Performs other duties as required
