FOR LATERAL POLICE OFFICERS.

POLICE OFFICER - LEO CERTIFIED / FULL-TIME

PAY RAT E / Hourly : $32.55- $49.16  pe r hou r. D epending on experience, education, and certifications. Typically, year-for-year.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO APPLY :

• Minimum (2) years' experience with a law enforcement agency and current POST certification (Utah) or have been POST certified within the last two (2) years.
• Must be in good standing at a current agency (if employed) or have retired within the past 2 years.
• High school diploma, GED, or an appropriate equivalent.
• Must have a valid Utah driver's license or have the ability to obtain one before employment.
• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application.
• Must be able to pass an in-depth background investigation.

COMPENSATION :

The pay range for full-time police officers is $32.55 - $49.16  pe r hou r, depending on experience, education, and certifications. Previous years of experience and certifications will be considered when negotiating pay, at the discretion of the Chief of Police.

Shift differential is paid for afternoon shifts 2% and graves 5%.
