About the Role

Were hiring aSenior Consultantto join Sunstone Environmental Solutions and take the lead on managing complex environmental projects for mining clients in the Western U.S.

This is atechnical leadershiprole focused on managing permitting and compliance programs, coordinating subcontractors, and driving high-quality work across a team. Youll serve as the technical lead on complex environmental projects, managing programs, guiding team members, and coordinating efforts with clients and subcontractors.

What Youll Do

• Project Management : Oversee large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects involving permitting, compliance, and environmental planning.
• Team Leadership : Supervise internal team members (up to 5), coordinate deliverables, and manage day-to-day execution.
• Subcontractor Oversight : Coordinate biologists, drillers, mining engineers, surveyors, and other vendors on behalf of clients.
• Technical Writing : Prepare or oversee NEPA, PoOs, NOIs, SWPPPs, reclamation plans, and compliance documentation.
• Agency Coordination : Interface with federal, state, and local agencies (Nevada, Arizona, Idaho experience preferred).
• Proposal Development : Lead technical scoping and proposal writing for new projects.
• High-Level Field Presence : Conduct occasional field visits for oversight, site meetings, or QA / QC.
