Job Summary

At UT Southwestern Medical Center , our nurses are at the heart of everything we do!

We're looking for skilled and compassionate nurses to join our Transplant / LVAD Unit-where advanced cardiovascular care meets human connection. As part of our progressive care team, you'll support patients recovering from surgical procedures, including heart, lung transplants and LVADs and complex conditions requiring continuous monitoring. You'll interpret cardiac rhythms, manage cardiac drips, immunosuppressants, and collaborate with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.

Education and Experience

Required

Graduate of an approved / accredited nursing program either by a governmental authority, nursing board and

1 year of RN experience.

(NLC) NURSING LICENSURE COMPACT-BNE Upon Hire and

(ACLS) ADV CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC). Required for NSICU, MICU, SICU, CVICU, EM, Labor & Delivery, and Rapid Response Team Upon Hire and

(BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Required for NSICU, MICU, SICU, NICU, CVICU, EM, Labor & Delivery, and Rapid Response Team Upon Hire and

(NIHSS) Natl Inst Health Stroke Scale Required for NSICU, MICU, EM, and Rapid Response Team Upon Hire and

(CPI) CRISIS PREVENTION INSTITUT CER Required for EM within 180 Days and

(TNCC) TRAUMA NURSING CORE COURS Required for EM within 1-1 / 2 Yrs and

(PALS) PEDS ADVANCED LIFE SUPPOR Required for EM within 1-1 / 2 Yrs and

(PALS) PEDS ADVANCED LIFE SUPPOR Required for Rapid Response Team Upon Hire and

(NRP) NEONATAL RESUSCITATION Required for Labor & Delivery Upon Hire and

Required for Labor & Delivery : AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and all L&D RN competencies Upon Hire
