As a Billing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our construction projects by managing the preparation, review, and submission of AIA billing documents. Your expertise in the construction industry and strong attention to detail will ensure that all billing is accurate, timely, and compliant with contract specifications.

This Direct Hire opportunity is fully onsite in the KC Metro.

Responsibilities

Accurately process all customer invoice documents in a timely manner.

Manage billing for complex projects, including those with nonstandard requirements.

Prepare project reconciliations for both internal teams and external clients as needed.

Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, ensuring timely and clear communication.

Review the Work-in-Progress (WIP) report monthly to determine appropriate project invoicing.

Handle all collection activities, especially for complex and AIA billings.

Build and maintain positive working relationships with both customers and colleagues.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience handling high-volume and complex invoicing.

Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.

Ability to work independently and know when to escalate issues.

Strong understanding of the financial impact of project over- and under-billings.

Excellent attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience working with EDI portals.

Familiarity with AIA billing processes.

Background in customer collections.

Experience analyzing WIP reports and involvement in project billing or accounting.

Knowledge of Q360 ERP and Pemsoft AIA software.

Pay : $24 - $27 / hr
