Industrial Metal Fabricator

The Kelly Group is seeking an Industrial Metal Fabricator for its Marion, Arkansas , facility. Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in the layout, welding and fabrication of sheet metal and structural steel.

This position requires the ability to perform these essential duties :

• Safely and accurately lay out and fabricate straight lengths of ductwork, cones, elbows, tapers and miscellaneous parts utilizing a bending roll
• Safely and accurately lay out and fabricate square and rectangular spouting, square to rounds, tapers, offset fittings and various parts utilizing a press brake
• Safely and accurately measure and cut various sheet metals utilizing a sheet metal shear
• Safe operation of an ironworker machine to punch, shear and cut
• Safe operation of a drill press, punch press, hand grinder and other tools of the trade
• Ability to tack weld and / or final weld all fabrications utilizing SMAW, MIG and GTAW of mild steel and stainless steel
• Thorough understanding of techniques to set up welding machines and gases
• Ability to square up and weld various geometries and components
• Ability to perform vertical and horizontal welding
• Understanding of various weld form symbols on blueprints
• Reading and understanding of blueprints / drawings, and developing a cut list and / or material list accordingly
