Program Specialist In Workforce Education
Seattle Central College is looking to hire a Program Specialist in Workforce Education. Salary range for this position is $46,176 to $60,120 annually (depending on experience). Opportunity is open until filled, first review of materials will begin December 9th, 2025. Position summary under the guidance of the Director of Workforce Services, the Program Coordinator will have the responsibility of providing comprehensive assistance to the Workforce Services office, which encompasses the Opportunity Grant, WorkFirst, Basic Food Employment & Training (BFET), Worker Retraining, and Veteran Service, Basic Needs Program, Student Emergency Assistance Grant (SEAG) programs. As a Workforce Services Program Coordinator, you will have a central role in delivering exceptional customer service to both new and ongoing students, encompassing tasks such as responding to inquiries, handling phone calls, and extending a welcoming reception to students. Furthermore, your duties will involve overseeing WorkFirst work study students, gathering crucial data for generating reports and invoices, preparing vouchers, making recommendations on program improvements, offering support to Workforce Advisors, promoting Workforce grants, and ensuring that grant activities align with state and federal regulations. It is important to note that this position is funded by grants and is dependent on the availability of funding. This position supervises 2-5 Work Study Students. This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement with representation by WFSE.
