You will work independently in acute and critical care settings while collaborating with physicians and healthcare personnel to make informed treatment recommendations. We offer attractive sign-on bonuses for eligible full-time positions : $7,500 for Direct Care Respiratory Therapists with one year of experience (or $5,000 for less than one year). Key Responsibilities
Supervisory / Management Responsibility
This role does not involve management responsibilities and will report to a supervisor or manager.
Minimum Requirements
Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program or eligibility for licensure in South Carolina. Alternatively, candidates currently in their final three months of training may apply.
Required Certifications / Registrations / Licenses
Must possess a Respiratory Care Practitioner license in South Carolina, or eligibility for licensure, or be a graduating senior. BLS certification is required. NBRC credentials must be kept current. Candidates hired before June 2016 may hold Certified Respiratory Therapist credentials.
Those hired after June 2016 must pass the Therapist Multiple Choice Exam at the Registered Therapist cut score and complete the Clinical Simulation Exam within six months of graduation. Failure to pass the simulation exam in that timeframe will result in termination.
NRP and PALS certifications are required before independent work in the NICU and PICU.
Other Required Skills and Experience
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with strong communication, organizational, and computer skills is essential.
