Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care according to the specific needs of the Pediatric Emergency Department, in alignment with state and specialty standards of practice. Collaborating with medical providers and care team members, you will provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care through established nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage. You will serve as an advocate for patients and families, demonstrating commitment to our organization’s vision, mission, and values, striving for an unparalleled patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

  • Regularly assess patient pain to enhance pain management, ensuring reassessments after interventions.
  • Perform necessary procedures and monitor patient conditions as directed by medical providers, documenting care thoroughly in the patient’s medical record.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care by promptly responding to requests and proactively anticipating needs.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up steps. Simplify complex medical terminology for clear understanding.
  • Guide patients and caregivers on non-medicinal follow-up measures, including healthy lifestyle choices like diet and exercise, to empower self-management.

What qualifications you will need :

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 6 months of starting employment.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification must be obtained within 18 months of starting employment.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 6 months of starting employment.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification must be obtained within 18 months of starting employment.
  • (RN) Registered Nurse license.
  • Associate Degree is required; BSN required with 12-month enrollment and 24-month completion (Magnet Facility).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
