Job Description & Requirements Specialty : CVOR Discipline : RN Start Date : 01 / 12 / 2026 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Opportunity : Registered Nurse - CVOR Job Details : Work 12-hour day shifts Monday through Friday from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM Call requirements for all travelers in cardiac surgery Days during the week will vary depending on unit needs - no block schedule available Must be able to scrub and circulate cardiac surgeries Minimum 2 years CVOR OR experience required Prior travel experience required Work with adult patient population only - no pediatrics Handle all case types including neuro, trauma, general, orthopedic, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, and transplant procedures Patient diagnoses include open heart, transplant, and trauma / neuro cases Work in robotic and hybrid rooms for procedures like cystoscopy, bronchoscopy, and lead extraction Participate in call rotation fairly distributed among all staff May float between OR units but not between locations Required certifications : BLS, ACLS Complete COVID vaccine series or valid exemption required by start date Orientation dates : 12 / 15, 1 / 5, 1 / 12, 1 / 19 only Facility : This major academic medical center is a 1000 bed hospital featuring a comprehensive 56-bed operating room suite for both inpatient and outpatient procedures, plus 5 procedural rooms.
