Document Accessibility Remediation Specialist (WCAG / ADA / Section 508)- Remote

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a senior Accessibility Consultant with specific experience in document / PDF remediation. Candidates must have at least 7 years of professional, hands-on experience in accessibility and WCAG standards.

Required Qualifications of the Document Accessibility Remediation Specialist :

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
  • At least 7 years of experience in document accessibility testing and remediation
  • At least 3 years of experience in Microsoft Word WCAG 2.1 Remediation (styles, headings, alt text, reading order) and PDF WCAG 2.1 Remediation experience
  • At least 3 years of experience with accessibility testing tools
  • Preferred Education and / or Certifications :
  • CPACC
  • IAAP ADS certification

Responsibilities of the Document Accessibility Remediation Specialist :

  • Responsible for reviewing and remediating digital documents (Word and PDF) to meet WCAG 2.1 ccessibility standards.
  • Leverage deep hands-on knowledge of document tagging, alt text, reading order, and screen reader compatibility for remediation efforts.
  • Ensure high volume of documents achieve full ADA compliance and pass accessibility validation tools / assistive technology testing.

    • Work Location : Remote; Possibility of up to 25% travel if needed.
