Security Officer - Access Control Telecom Site

As a Security Officer - Access Control Telecom Site in Wilmington, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading Tech, Media, and Telecom location, you will monitor entrances and exits, check credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will provide outstanding customer service, support a welcoming environment, and use technology to support your responsibilities. Pay Rate : $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeFri02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sat02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any potential issues.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all activities, incidents, and / or irregularities encountered during the shift.
  • Work closely with site personnel and visitors to address questions or concerns related to security-related matters.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and client site policies, adapting to the unique environment of a technology, media, and / or telecom location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
