About the Role

A rapidly growing engineering organization is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the financial function and support post-acquisition integration efforts. The company is expanding nationally and needs a proactive finance leader who understands multi-entity and project-based operations.

This position provides direct exposure to senior executives and plays a critical role in enhancing financial infrastructure, improving reporting, and guiding strategic financial planning.

Primary Responsibilities of the Director of Finance :

• Lead financial management activities including reporting, planning, budgeting, and forecasting
• Standardize finance and accounting procedures across acquired organizations
• Oversee revenue recognition, project accounting, WIP reporting, and job costing
• Develop dashboards and KPIs to support operational and business decisions
• Partner with senior leadership on strategy, resource allocation, and risk evaluation
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and development across finance & accounting teams in multiple locations
• Support due diligence and integration efforts related to ongoing acquisitions
• Drive process improvements for accuracy, scalability, and efficiency
