Must Haves :

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or field service experience
  • 8+ years experience as a Project Manager
  • 6+ years experience as a PM within mechanical / HVAC
  • Experience working on commercial / industrial projects
  • Experience independently managing projects from start to finish
  • Estimating experience
  • Ability to estimate change orders, etc.
  • Good communication and personality
  • Great organizational skills and ability to multitask

Plusses :

  • Mechanical Engineering degree
  • Mechanical / HVAC project background

    • Responsibilities

  • Review job estimates and prepare project budgets. Review with COO.
  • Review contract drawings, detail drawings, and specifications
  • Estimate and negotiate change orders
  • Estimate and submit bids
  • Prepare and review submittals
  • Track, forecast, report labor hours, materials, and sub-contractor costs
  • Buyout major equipment and subcontracts
  • Expedite and track deliveries of major equipment / materials
  • Maintain working knowledge of general conditions, work scope, and specifications of project contract / subcontract
  • Maintain and control documents in compliance with standards as well as contractual compliance
  • Plan, organize and staff key field positions through department heads.
  • Supervise superintendents and project foreman on assigned projects
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with client and A / E contacts, to facilitate construction activities
  • Monitor / control construction through administrative direction of on-site superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures
  • Provide proactive, clear, and timely communication to team members
  • Be professional and uphold companies core values
  • Represent company in project meetings, assist in labor negotiations / strategy meetings, etc.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income / expenses, etc.) to protect companys interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with client
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives
