Description :
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients, assisting with health routines and health decisions.
- The PSR I draws quality blood samples, prepares specimens for lab testing, and follows established practices and procedures.
- Creates a trusting environment by explaining procedures and drawing blood safely and accurately.
- Demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
- Performs daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor, maintaining a safe, professional environment.
- Handles forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established protocols.
- Maintains required records and documentation.
- Promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements :
Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.Required Education :
High school diploma or equivalent required.Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.Work Experience :
Minimum 12 months of experience required.Two years of phlebotomy experience preferred.Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.Keyboard / data entry experience is essential.Additional Requirements :
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.Reliable transportation is required; Uber and public transport are not considered reliable.At least 1 year of blood draw experience required.Participation in mandatory classroom training at our Miramar lab is required; dates TBD.Training includes traveling to nearby Patient Service Centers and classroom instruction.Must handle a high volume of draws, potentially 30-40 per day.Position is offered through a no-fee agency.
