Job Title : Data Analyst
Duration : 12 months + Contract

Pay Rate : $59.00 hourly
Description : What you'll be doing
Uncover business needs and the true questions that the company is trying to answer in order to properly frame your analysis
Leverage your SQL / Python / R coding skills to pull and organize data that is needed for your analysis
Find insights buried in the data by applying your arsenal of creative problem-solving, data exploration, and quantitative analytical skills (including statistical methods)
Assess the quantitative and qualitative impacts of possible actions based on your insight, taking into consideration our customers, our employees, and our company
Recommend actions based on your insights by effectively telling the story that is supported by data through presentations (PowerPoint), data visualizations (Tableau), and clear and concise verbal and written communications skills
Coordinate with various stakeholders to help implement and measure recommended actions
Build relationships with key stakeholders across clients such as Sales, Marketing, Servicing, Insurance, Risk, Technology, Legal / Compliance, Finance, Treasury, etc.
Continuously improve your analytical, technical, communication, and people skills through offered training and on-the-job experience to prepare for advancement into analytical leadership roles.
Become a subject matter expert for your business area by developing a comprehensive understanding of its strategies, processes, policies, and data
Guide / mentor other analysts on best practices for analysis and data storytelling.
Requirements :
We are looking for data analyst and not more of a data engineer. Look for someone who can make interactive dashboard. Prior experience working with stake holders. Business understanding / Analytical mind set.
Provides support to banking. Commercial Lending.
Data and analytics support. Dashboard, Data Analysis.
Years of experience 3-5 years.
Interview process : MS Teams / In-person. Need local candidate who can come for onsite interview.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Math, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering or similar analytical / STEM field
Demonstrated relevant experience coding in SQL, Python and / or R (this will be tested during interviews)
Experience with Excel and PowerPoint, and Tableau experience.
Creative and quantitative problem-solving skills with strengths in Data Acquisition, Manipulation, Cleaning, Analysis and Presentation of Results
Basic statistics knowledge
Presentation skills including proposing strategic recommendations to management and clearly articulating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Intellectual curiosity always making an effort to understand and find the truth in the data
Ability to collaborate with others
Added bonus if you have (Preferred) :
MBA or Master's degree in an analytical field
Background in Auto Finance or Consumer Lending industries
Professional experience in one or more areas covered by the Analytics Job Family (see list above)
Intermediate to advanced statistics knowledge
