Mobile Unit Driver

Brooklyn, NY and local school / clinic sites

25 / Hr

Starting September M-Th 7 : 45-5 : 00 Fridays as needed 8-1

Position Summary :

A healthcare organization is seeking a responsible and safety-conscious Mobile Unit Driver to operate and maintain a mobile dental / medical unit that serves local schools and Head Start programs. This role includes both driving and ensuring the readiness, security, and functionality of the unit at each location.

Key Responsibilities :

Drive and park the mobile unit at various local school and program sites

Ensure vehicle stabilization and safe, secure positioning at each location

Perform pre-operation checks to ensure readiness and equipment safety

Maintain the vehicle's mechanical systems and schedule regular upkeep (e.g., oil changes, tune-ups, battery charging)

Oversee water supply, generator function, biohazard drainage, and sanitation systems

Secure all equipment (chain, strap, and lock) before and after transit

Lock and secure the mobile unit when unattended; ensure safe overnight parking

Adhere to all state and organizational driving safety regulations

Perform other related duties as assigned

Maintain full compliance with internal policies and operational protocols

Qualifications :

Valid New York State driver’s license

Clean driving record

Prior experience driving commercial or medical vehicles preferred

Basic mechanical understanding a plus

Reliable, responsible, and committed to safety and equipment care
