Job Description :
We have multiple locations in the Metro Detroit area. Our main office is located in Troy, MI. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being around others and able to multi-task.
The Assistant Office Manager will be responsible for a variety of medical and administrative related tasks. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and is customer service driven. Qualified candidates must be self-motivated, well organized, a team player with a positive attitude, and have experience with EMR systems.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTION AND DUTIES BUT NOT LIMITED TO
Managing / Assisting Outpatient Imaging authorization approvalsManaging / Assisting medication authorization approvalsManaging / Assisting Insurance Posts & working with Billing DepartmentManaging / Assisting Hospital Procedures / Physician Schedule UpdatesPost Hospital RegistrationOutpatient Imaging OrdersReferrals / Marketing materials / posts / locating officesCredentials with insurances / hospitals (when needed)Employee Hiring Process / Phone Interviews / TrainingManaging / Overseeing weekly practice scheduleCreating / Revising Practice Policy documentationManagement Task list assistanceNegotiating Vendor pricingAble to schedule patient appointments following established guidelines and protocols set by administrative standardsAble to assess and record patient's complete vitals signs & past medical history in EMR systemAble to assign patients to exam rooms and provide a status checks periodically (when necessary)Retrieves / reviews patient charts insuring all test results, labs, or other documentation is included in the chart prior to the patient seeing the provider for examinationCompletes any necessary forms for the providers to review and completes follow-up; such as prescription call-in or submission for the patientAnswer phone calls and assist with phone triagePerforms other functions as determined by the medical staffCUSTOMER RELATIONS :

Bachelor’s Degree or proven work experience as a high performing Healthcare Administrator / Medical Office Manager with a minimum of 3 years experience (preferred)BLS CertificationProficient with EMR systemsBENEFITS
