About the Position :

As the Controller, you will oversee all financial and accounting operations, ensuring compliance, transparency, and efficiency across the organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll play a key role in advancing the financial health and integrity of the organization. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys improving systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead process improvements to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
• Oversee all financial accounts, ledgers, and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls while continuously assessing and refining accounting systems.
• Monitor and coordinate budgeting and expenditures across departments.
• Manage payroll functions and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Partner with auditors to facilitate smooth audits and provide thorough documentation.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver comprehensive financial updates and prepare presentations for executive boards.
• Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering professional growth and team cohesion.
• Develop and document accounting policies and procedures tailored to organizational needs.
• Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required)
• Experience : 5+ years of accounting / financial management experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and standards.
• Experience with financial systems (QuickBooks experience preferred) and implementing process improvements.
• Proven ability to manage and grow a team in a supportive, collaborative work environment.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills—able to prioritize and adapt to shifting deadlines.
• Experience conducting audits and presenting financial data to executive stakeholders is a plus.
