Support applications in production, pilot and uat and support the day-to-day activities of 365x24x7 Application Support Operations team.
Support team efforts to provide analysis and support for production issues for both on-premise and cloud-based applications and ensure all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met for all incidents.
Conduct comprehensive code and configuration analysis, providing support for production, pilot, and uat application issues.
Support production-level updates of all application code changes on all servers; ensure change control requirements are met.
Use subject matter expertise to develop and / or secure ad-hoc tools and utilities for use by operations staff, identify security issues in application code and design, identify opportunities for process improvements.
Handles technical support tickets and help the users to solve their problems and identify solutions to implement.
Responsible for meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA) for all incidents.
Support applications with various technology background.
Provide support for multi-tiered applications, encompassing UI frameworks, web services, and middleware components.
Accountable for ensuring applications achieve the necessary uptime standards.
Perform the detection and resolution of underlying issues within applications, ensuring effective problem-solving and remediation.
Engage in the design, implementation, and automation of application monitoring, conduct regular application-level housekeeping activities, and identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in complex applications.
Support application integration projects and initiatives. Contribute to the resolution of issues impacting the successful daily operation of production applications.
Critique completed projects to determine variations from established processes and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Monitor new technological advances in Information Technologies through professional groups, trade publications, and personal networking.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Security, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
4+ years' experience in application support role or application development.
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in application support role with expertise in various technological background.
Minimum three (3) years' experience in the financial services industry.
Experience in C# & ASP.NET as a developer with support experience
Experience in Azure modules like Azure Functions, App Services, ASE and App Insights etc.
Experience in UI technology HTML / JS / CSS and preferably React JS.
Experience in web services especially in microservices architecture.
Experience in IIS / WCF and exposure to other newest .NET tech stacks.
Strong SQL skills is mandatory on MS SQL server.
Proficient in analysis of production issues at the code level and will be able to suggest / work on code fixes.
Should be able to work in support model Shifts / On-calls etc.
