Project Manager - Utilities Or Construction
Location : Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (hybrid)
Pay Rate Range : $50.00 - $62.50 per hour depending on experience
The position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Must be authorized to work in the United States now, and in the future, without assistance.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our client, a trusted public utility provider. The ideal candidate will lead and oversee projects related to infrastructure, operations, and technology improvements. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage multiple projects across departments, including infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and operational improvements.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, and external agencies, to ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards specific to the utility industry.
- Prepare and present regular updates, reports, and documentation to senior management and stakeholders.
- Oversee procurement of materials and services needed for project completion, ensuring cost efficiency and quality.
- Facilitate effective communication among project teams and stakeholders to resolve issues and keep projects on track.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and recommend improvements for future initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.5+ years of project management experience, preferably within the utility, energy, or public infrastructure industries.Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar.Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and risk management principles.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards applicable to the public utility sector.Preferred Qualifications
