Position Overview
We are seeking a high-performing Tax Manager with an active CPA or EA credential to lead and grow within our tax practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is passionate about client service, and is looking for a clear path to leadership based on results and initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage tax compliance for individuals, partnerships, and corporations (Forms 1040, 1120S, 1120, etc.).
- Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services, especially in real estate and non-profit sectors.
- Review and sign off on tax returns prepared by staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws.
- Represent clients during audits and correspondence with federal and state tax authorities.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor.
- Stay current on tax law changes and proactively communicate implications to clients and team members.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless financial and tax reporting.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Active CPA or EA license required.Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience , with a focus on tax.Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.Experience with tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, ProConnect, UltraTax, etc.).Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Experience in real estate and non-profit tax matters is a plus.Why Join Us?
