We are currently seeking a Packaging Line Operator for our Arizona location, conveniently situated approximately 10 minutes from Glendale, AZ.

Scope of Position :

Phlex Formulations & Packaging LLC is a growing, innovation-driven company revolutionizing the contract packaging industry. We are seeking an experienced Packaging Line Operator to join our high-performing production team. This role requires an individual with strong mechanical aptitude, solid production floor experience, and a commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting packaging machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and will serve as a key contributor to our operational success.

Principal Responsibilities :

  • Operate and monitor automated and semi-automated packaging machinery.
  • Perform machine changeovers, setups, and adjustments with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure compliance with product specifications and company standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions quickly to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with safety and GMP standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to meet or exceed production goals.
  • Accurately document production data, machine performance, and any incidents.
  • Train or assist in onboarding entry-level team members as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.

Competencies :

  • Strong mechanical skills and a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot machinery.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on product quality and process efficiency.
  • Ability to read and interpret production documentation and equipment manuals.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and safety best practices is a plus.
  • Supervisory Responsibility :

    There are no supervisory responsibilities within this position.

    Work Environment :

    Working 100% of the time in a manufacturing facility setting. Subject to noise from machinery used from time to time. Exposed to customer products when operating and testing machinery.

  • Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Heavy lifting required.
  • Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed.
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
  • Requires ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist.
  • Must be able to climb a ladder.
  • Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm. Some overtime required as business needs dictate.

    Travel :

    No travel required with this position.

    Education and Experience :

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating packaging or production line equipment.
