SHIFT :  3 days shift

Summary :

The Vascular Sonographer performs the daily routine / critical care and diagnostic procedures as ordered by the Physician. They further, conduct basic equipment maintenance, quality control measures, reporting of abnormal findings to physicians (if immediate attention is indicated), and other administrative, technical, or supervisory tasks as might be required. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for the successful completion of the procedure.

Experience :

Minimum one year experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS :

Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the Association of Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

BLS required per St. David's HealthCare policy

Responsibilities of the Vascular Technologist - Vascular Sonographer :

Consistently produce vascular scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patients ranging from Neonatal to Geriatric.

Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in vascular sonography.

Identify upper / lower extremity venous anatomy.

Identify collateral venous pathways in presence of disease.

Perform upper / lower extremity Venous Duplex protocol for DVT or Venous Insufficiency.
