Electrical Maintenance Engineer

The PLC Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of PLC-controlled equipment within an industrial electrical cabinet manufacturing plant. This role includes supporting the machinery used in the production process to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and associated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled machinery and systems.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on PLC systems and related components.
  • Document all maintenance activities and repairs in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assist with the assembly, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, diagrams, and documentation of PLC systems.
  • Proficient in working safely with power tools and electrical equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical work.
  • 10-15 years of electrical maintenance experience preferred.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in electrical technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with PLCs, industrial controls, and electrical panels.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and partnership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Work Environment

    This position operates within a climate-controlled facility on the 1st shift, from 6am-3pm. The role may require being on call for any emergency situations.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00 / hr.
