The Program Coordinator will work alongside the Design Lab Director's Office and Studios staff to learn how to support Design Lab and Design Lab-WDC program planning, implementation and delivery. Assists with the coordination of local, regional, and global stakeholders by scheduling and supporting town halls, workshops and meetings.
Assists with the coordination the recruitment of student and community volunteers. Work on basic project assignments and learns how to produce reports. Analyzes issues and problems, gathers data and information, and learns how to find alternatives and make sound recommendations. Other duties assigned within scope of description.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Ability effectively interact with all levels of the university organization, including administrators, academics, managers, staff, community officials, and colleagues at all levels.
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with conflicting deadline pressures and priorities.
Skills to learn organization-specific and other computer application programs.
Basic communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Basic knowledge of event planning, marketing and of the general accepted practices of the event industry.
Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
Basic skills to analyze and research information and learn to synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail.
Basic program and project management skills.
Acquiring knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques.
