About the role.
We are seeking an Inside CAT Property Claims Representative, with a passion for customer service and a proven record of success in the Claims organization. The primary goal of this position is to support the adjusting of CAT claims (inside) that do not require physical inspection. This role will report to the Inside CAT Property Team Lead in the assigned territory.
This role offers both formal training and career progression in Property Field Adjusting including a path to Property Field Representative and ultimately a General Adjuster with the appropriate time, development of technical claims knowledge, and adjusting and business need.
What you’ll do.
- Handle CAT property claims in a quality manner delivering on standards of accuracy, efficiency, customer service, and regulatory compliance.
- Resolve claims and respond to inquiries involving members, agents, vendors (independent adjusters / appraisers, salvage, defense, and plaintiff attorneys.
- Represent the company in interactions with members, agents, as well as internal stakeholders in underwriting, product management, and finance.
- Determine coverage, damages, reserve, and resolve claims.
- Investigate for subrogation and make appropriate referrals.
- Catastrophe response requiring increased workload during large events.
- Utilize vendor network and video conferencing to investigate and settle claims.
- Authority for making appropriate coverage determinations, reserve and resolving claims, status updates with agents, members, and vendors as well as making reserve decisions on individual files, requests payments to pay loss cost or loss adjustment expenses.
What we’re looking for.
Bachelor's degree preferred, but work experience considered.Proficient in writing estimates in Xactimate from a deskState adjuster licenses and CE credits must be maintained as required by state regulations.Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel).Strong relationship management and customer service skills.Ability to inspect and assess properties in the field.Ability to work independently.Excellent interpersonal, listening, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.Attention to detail, analytical and solid problem-solving skills.Ability to demonstrate integrity, exhibit team spirit and enthusiasm, and establish trust and credibility.The base salary for this role can range from $75,000 to $90,000 based on a full-time work schedule. An individual’s ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience
