This role will require up to 75% travel to the Mirabel Engine Centre located in greater Montreal, Canada area.
What You Will Do :
- Drive and meet all key metrics related to quality, delivery, and cost reduction
- Accountable for the creation and execution of standard work, leading continuous improvement activities across the line
- Provide leadership and direction to the operations team setting both near term, and long term operational objectives focusing on the tactical, but supporting the Product Director in more strategic planning
- Collaborate with support teams (quality, materials, supply chain, process planning) to ensure that customer requirements are met
- Work proactively to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving product line goals
- Ensure full involvement in CORE continuous improvement initiatives; utilize CORE tools to improve production, performance, and reduce scrap, rework, and repair
- Drive quality (effective RRCA), productivity and process flow to meet MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
- Ability to travel up to 75% to the greater Montreal, Canada area
Qualifications You Must Have :
Bachelor's degree with 12 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, program management, quality or closely related industrial environment OR a Master's degree with 10 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, program management, quality or closely related industrial environmentUnderstanding of / experience using CORE / LEAN / continuous improvement principles to implement process improvementsExperience using Microsoft Office applicationsPrior demonstrated leadership, business judgment, innovation, analytical ability, and teaming skillsQualifications We Prefer :
Lean / Six Sigma certificationPrior experience implementing Continuous Improvement strategies
