Locum Hematologist-Oncologist (MD / DO)

We are seeking a Hematologist-Oncologist for a locum tenens assignment in Rhode Island beginning Nov 10, 2025. This role spans 248 days and follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm. Job Details Location : Rhode Island Start Date : Nov 10, 2025 LOA : 248 days Provider Type Needed : Hematologist-Oncologist Schedule : Monday through Friday, 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm, excluding holidays Responsibilities and Duties Deliver comprehensive direct patient care primarily in hematology and oncology, including expert consultation and treatment in both inpatient and outpatient settings Maintain timely attendance for all scheduled clinics; estimated clinical load is 5 hours of inpatient coverage and 26 hours of bookable clinic time per week, with an average of 2 patients per hour during bookable time Provide discharge education and coordinated follow-up instructions for all hematology-oncology patients Adhere to established medication policies and procedures; do not dispense sample medications Ensure effective communication of test results to patients and providers, following all applicable directives Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and required committee meetings Complete clinical follow-up and other assigned tasks, such as tumor board discussions Additional Information Minimum of 2 years of experience strongly preferred Must hold a valid license to practice (any state) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required EMR system : CPRS Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
